Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ)
Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) is one of Türkiye's oldest and most prestigious public research universities. Established on 20 May 1955 in Trabzon, Türkiye, it is recognized as the fourth oldest university in the country and has built a strong reputation for excellence in research, innovation, and higher education.
Today, KTÜ serves more than 27,000 students, supported by over 2,100 academic staff across 12 faculties, graduate schools, vocational colleges, and numerous research and application centers. The university offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs spanning engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, medicine, architecture, economics, and health sciences.
As a research-intensive institution, KTÜ actively participates in international research projects and maintains extensive global partnerships through Erasmus+, the European University Association (EUA), the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), the Community of Mediterranean Universities (CMU), and the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU). The university has established hundreds of international cooperation agreements, fostering academic exchange and collaborative research worldwide.
KTÜ is recognized by Türkiye's Higher Education Council as a Research University and has received five-year full institutional accreditation, reflecting its commitment to academic quality, scientific excellence, and innovation.
